Leopold Korner had his Austrian Club Vienna Samurai. His father Leopold Sr. was former Austrian Champion. Leopold Jr passed away at the age of 65 at 25-2-2024. Korner was a three-time veteran world champion and held various positions in the Austrian Judo Federation and the Vienna regional association. Despite his father introducing him to judo at a young age, Korner's competitive success came later in life, notably winning the "Masters" in 1999 and 2001. He dedicated his life to judo, serving as an official and leading the Vienna Samurai club for about 30 years.
