German judoka Helene Weinmann claimed silver at the German Team Championships U18 Wolfsburg U57kg in 2013. Helene was rather a handful little girl with plenty of energy which made her mom, Birgit Weinmann looking for a sporting activity where Helene can output her high energy and learn some discipline. That is how the Weinmann family got into judo, initially. Helene started judo around the age of 7. Birgit joined the notion and followed her daughter’s footsteps. In 2016, mom fell in love with Kata and two years later she gained her 1st Dan. In 2022, she moved a grade above.
