Judoka Manuela van de Brink took a bronze medal at the Dutch Junior Championships U18/21 Nieuwegein in 1988. The heavyweight claimed the Dutch cadet title in Elburg in 1986. Manuela captured a bronze medal at the Dutch All Categories in 1996. She won bronze at the Dutch Championships Elburg in 1989. She clinched a bronze medal at the Dutch Championships Nieuwegein in 1989. van de Brink won a bronze medal at the Dutch Championships Utrecht in 1987. Manuela took a silver medal at the Euro Junior Tournament Stockerau in 1988. Later she had her own surfschool in Thailand.
