Japanese judoka Kosuke Mashiyama captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022. He won gold at the European Open in Oberwart in 2018. He captured a bronze medal at the 2018 Junior World Championships in the Bahamas and the mixed team world title for Juniors in 2018 and 2019. He won the European Cup U21 in Leibnitz in 2018. He clinched a gold medal at the Asian Pacific Championships in Fujairah in 2019. Kosuke bagged a gold medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2021. Principally a left-hander, Mashiyama likes to do ouchi-gari and seoi-nage from a left-sided cross-grip.
