Italian judoka Carolina Costa claimed the gold at the IBSA Grand Prix in Baku in 2019. The Italian bagged a bronze medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. She won the IBSA European title in Genoa in 2019. She won the IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2019. She won the IBSA European title in 2022 in Cagliari. She became IBSA World Champion in Baku in 2022.
