In 2018 Hungarian judoka Gergely Nerpel came third at the European U23 Champinoships in Potsdam in 2023. He won gold at the Cadet European Cup in Follonica, Cluj and Gyor. Gergely Nerpel (HUN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets U73kg in 2018. He claimed the gold at the Junior European Cup in Sarajevo in June 2021. He bagged a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Prague in 2021. He bagged a bronze medal at the European Cup in Celje in 2023. He won the Hungarian senior title in 2023. He bagged a silver medal at the European Open in Gyor and Warsaw in 2024.
