Hungarian Hedvig Karakas was finally awarded with gold in the World Tour as she captured the first place U57kg after her victory against Bulgarian Iveline Ilieva. It is the experienced Karakas Hedvig of Hungary who won in Tashkent after a tactical fight that was essentially led by a kumikata battle. Russian Yago Abuladze captured the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Tashkent U60kg. In quite a surprising weight category Abuladze defeated World Championships surprise Wang Yung Wei (TPE) in the quarter final and resisted home favourite Diyorbek Urozboev in the semi-final.
