The movie Moneyball had a huge impact how people thought about their sports in terms of analysing it. In American Sports, statistics were of importance for years. America coaches were practicing the analytical study of baseball before judo was even born.

Volleyball, hockey and football are sports that follow analytical studies for years, but judo is developing well over the last years. With JudoInside judo has a huge source in sports statistics, but adding another flavour of your personal efforts is something that is being developed over the last few years. JudoInside delivers an insight cooperation with federations to monitor athetes from talent to Olympic medal and providing competitor insights, intel that can be used throughout the whole organisation from management, bid offers, marketing and communication and sports intelligence for the sports department.

Some federations do have analytical information such as the French Judo Federation (FFJ) generating fancy analytical stats about all major athletes. JudoInside is the world’s most fancy stats wizard on earth and the IJF followed with Judobase where live results are the key asset with the profiles and event videos.

Enter Nicklas Björklund of Sweden, father of 5 and a judoka. Björklund saw the need for analytics for the judo development of his own children, and created Athlete Analyzer. He finished developing this amazing app just over 3 years ago with the support and cooperation of the Swedish National Judo Team.  They now use Athlete Analyzer in all levels of their development. Also many clubs in other countries use the tool which is promted by Tiago Camilo in Brazil to mention a huge ambassador. Björklund and his team are so committed to the project that they will train new users for free and are constantly updating and upgrading the program. When you “tag” the action in the match, you can just jump to those moments in the match for future video analysis.  It allows you to pull up all matches against a particular opponent in one click. It shows you the winning percentage of your athletes, which techniques they throw with the most, and from what grip, as well as which techniques have caught you in the past.  You can also track and build your athletes training schedule for them to check off as they go.

Björklund. "We keep developing and we're working on development of Athlete Analyzer now with focus on user experience and make it a lot easier to start up for new users. Users will immediately experience the advantages.

Have a look at Athlete Analyzer and register and use for free. Clubs can benefit saving lots of paperwork and register for a fair price. Sign in NOW.
