Miryam Roper wins pool of death, Asians looking sharp U57kg

In the women’s division Mongolian favourite Sumiya Dorjsuren is looking steady, where Olympic Champion Rafaela Silva had to suffer a loss against Olympic bronze medallist Telma Monteiro in a pool of death. The third day of the World Championships in Budapest showcases amazing judo and is a pleasure for the crowd in the Arena.

The pool was won by Miryam Roper of Panama who showcased her fighting spirit, technique and mental strength. She bested Telma Monteiro in the quarter final, two experienced judoka both free of mind, Roper won the battle. She also bested Marti Malloy, also above 30 years.

Tsukasa Yoshida had no problems reaching the final and will fight Helene Receveaux in the semi final. Both semi finals are equal, they both won and lost to each-other. Between Roper and Dorjsuren the score is 4-4 in 8 matches, but Dorjsuren won the last four battles.
