At the Grand Slam in Tokyo the new rules were discussed in the IJF Executive Committee at 5 December. The official version will be unveiled by the end of December by the IJF. The unofficial rumours are widely spread today via French website All Judo.

According to the article the yuko will disappear

> What used to be yuko, will now be awarded as waza-ari to make the understanding of the game easier for a wider audience.

> Two wazari was enough for the victory until this year, however with the merge of the yuko and waza-ari, the victory will be awarded after four wazari scores. (this speculation appeared to be untrue after the release of the IJF new rules one day later).

> 10 seconds of immobilization will count as wazari

> You can not win bouts by shidos, which will only serve to tie a showdown in the event of a tie. There must be an equal situation in waza-ari scores when a shido can be decisive. Unless three shidos are given out.

> Instead of four shido, the plan is to give hansokumake after three shido.

> For the first leg-grab, a shido warning will be given, for the second time in a match, direct Hansokumake.

Other sources added the adjustment of the duartion of the contest which will go down from five to four minutes for men.

Obviously all official rules will be announced soon and will be activated/tested at the first Continental Open of the year in Tunis at 14-15 January.

At the IJF Coach and Referee Seminar in Baku all rules will be practiced by coaches and referee from 5-8 January. Also IJF President Marius Vizer will be available for a twitter chat.
