Current World Champion U81kg, Loic Pietri has to work really hard each day to keep his status as world champion in 2014. In April the European Championships take place in Montpellier in France and a battle is expected with Avtandil Tchrikishvili.
Loic, France will host European Championships this year, in what stage of preparation are you?
I requested 2 weeks holidays from coach after the Paris tournament. After I came back to training with a lot of cardio & technical training. And i'll go in one week to Mongolia with the French team to do hard randori.
It will be your first European Championships in France, what does that mean for you ? Ready to take gold in front of home supporters ?
Yes and of course I will do hard training I'm ready, but it's judo so you never don't know what will happen! And I don't care about the city of the championship! It's not really important!
What do you think who will be your biggest opponent in Montpellier ? Tchrikishvili ?
Yes, but not Just him! Fight after fight! There is also other judokas. Will be very motivated and it's important to be very concentrate during all the championship!
