Japanese judoka Shori Hamada became Olympic Champion at The Tokyo 2020 Games. She was World Champion in 2018 in Baku but lost the world final in 2019. Shori won gold at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2020. She won the Grand Slam in Tokyo and took the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2017. She bagged the Grand Slam gold in Antalya in 2021. In 2019 Hamada won the Grand Prix in Montreal. She took silver at the IJF Judo masters in Doha in 2021. She took bronze at the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2022. She captured a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2023.
