German judoka Annika Wuerfel clinched the gold medal at the European Open in Prague in 2022. She took the bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2021. Annika won a bronze medal at the European Cadet Championships in 2017 in Kaunas. She won gold with the German girls team in Kaunas. She won the gold medal at the Junior European Cup in Kaunas in 2019. She took bronze at the European U23 Championship in 2019 in Izhevsk. In 2022 she added a bronze medal at the European U23 title in Sarajevo. She bagged a bronze medal at the European Open in Madrid in 2023.
