Japanese judoka Ryoko Takeda won the 2018 Junior world title in Nassau. She claimed the World Cadet title in Sarajevo in 2015 U57kg. She took gold at the European Open in Oberwart in 2019. She won the European Cup U21 St Petersburg in 2018. Ryoko Takeda (JPN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets juniors from 2016-2019. She won the Universiade in Napoli. She clinched the gold medal at the European Open in Bratislava in 2020. She took a silver medal at the Grand Slam of Tel Aviv in 2022 and silver in Astana in 2023.
