French Paralympic judoka Sandrine Aurieres Martinet became Paralympic gold medallist in Rio in 2016. She bagged a silver medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. She was third seeded. In 2004 and 2008 she was in the Paralympic final in Athens and Beijing. In 2015 she won silver at the IBSA European Championships in Lisbon and bronze at the IBSA World Games in Seoul. She won the Visual Impaired Grand Prix in Birmingham in 2016. She won the IBSA European title in Genoa in 2019. She won the IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2019. She won the IBSA European title in 2022 in Cagliari.
