Brazilian heavyweight David Moura became World Championships silver medallist in 2017 in Budapest. He won the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg and became the world number one of the world. He won more than 25 World Cup medals. Moura won the Pan American Games in 2015 in Toronto. He won bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2016. Moura won World Cup medals since 2010 in Paris, Abu Dhabi, Rio, Baku, Tokyo, Brasilia and Kazan. He took a silver medal at the IJF Masters in 2017 and bronze in 2018. He bagged a silver medal at the Pan American Championships in Guadalajara in 2021.
