Elvismar Rodriguez won bronze at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014 U78kg. She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2016 and bronze at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2016 and bronze at the Grand Prix in Samsun and PanAm Games, all in 6 weeks time. She won the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2016. Trains at the IJF training centre in Hungary. She won bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2017 and silver at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2017.

This weekend the World Tour moves on to Antalya in Turkey which is the new location for the Grand Prix held in Samsun over the past three years. New President Sezer Huysuz welcomed the coaches and athletes of 34 nations and a total of 253 athletes will be fighting in the city that has been asked to organize the World Junior Championships as well in October. Grand Prix Tbilisi starting with world and Olympic medallists

This afternoon the official draw of the Tbilisi Grand Prix 2017 took place. During three days, 252 athletes representing 36 delegations will compete in the 14 weight divisions at the New Sports Palace . The IJF experts will focus on ‘progressive judo‘ and more time will be given for the athletes to build positive judo. ‘The rules will be applied strictly but fairly,” said Neil Adams, IJF refereeing supervisor, who is working together with his two other colleagues, Daniel Lascau and Alexander Jatskevich and with all the departments involved in the implementation of the new rules.
