She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2016 and bronze at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2016 and bronze at the Grand Prix in Samsun and PanAm Games, all in 6 weeks time. She won the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2016. Trains at the IJF training centre in Hungary. She won bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2017 and silver at the Grand Slam in Baku and she took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Cancun in 2017.

Four new World Ranking leaders after deduction of Masters

Four judoka became world ranking leader for the first time in their careers. Dutchman Michael Korrel benefit of the deduction of the points of last year’s Masters and passed Cyrille Maret at the World Ranking list U100kg. Korrel won the Grand Slam in Baku recently and stepped into the top ten in February this year. With his bronze in Düsseldorf and victory against former World number one Gasimov he joined the top three. Read more
