Issam Bassou of Morocco captured a bronze medal at the European Open in Oberwart in 2018. Issam Bassou (MAR) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets U55kg in 2014. He won a gold medal at the African Games in Rabat in 2019. He took gold at the 2021 African Championships in Dakar.
