Georgii Zantaraia is a phenomenal judoka who won the world title U60kg in 2009 in Rotterdam. The Ukrainian judoka won 5 World Championships medals in a row and took the European title in 2011 in Istanbul. He stepped up to U66kg in 2012. In 2017 he became European Senior champion in Warsaw U66kg. Zantaraia is extremely skilled. Was born in Georgia. He won silver at the Grand Prix in Hohhot.

The Grand Prix in Hohhot in China attracted a number of top athletes such as Olympic champion Lukas Krpalek (CZE) who competes in the heavyweight category. Grand Prix Tbilisi starting with world and Olympic medallists

This afternoon the official draw of the Tbilisi Grand Prix 2017 took place. During three days, 252 athletes representing 36 delegations will compete in the 14 weight divisions at the New Sports Palace . The IJF experts will focus on ‘progressive judo‘ and more time will be given for the athletes to build positive judo. ‘The rules will be applied strictly but fairly,” said Neil Adams, IJF refereeing supervisor, who is working together with his two other colleagues, Daniel Lascau and Alexander Jatskevich and with all the departments involved in the implementation of the new rules.
