French judoka Maxime Gobert secured a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022. He became the Junior European Champion in 2021. He captured a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in 2021 in Olbia. With the French Junior team he also claimed gold. He captured a bronze medal at the European Open in Prague and Madrid in 2022. He clinched the gold medal at the European Cup in Malaga in 2022. In 2022 he captured the European U23 title in Sarajevo. He won the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2023. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Slam Qazaq Barysy in Astana in 2023.
